What is reworked repurposed jewellery

We repurpose an item by changing its intended use, such as from a
keychain into necklaces. We use unwanted vintage jewellery or
partially damaged pieces and turn them into a more modern piece that is filled with love.

Why repurposed jewellery?

We love luxury! With repurposed pieces, you can own an authentic piece of jewellery without breaking the bank.

One of a kind

Each item has a history of its own and our repurposed jewellery will be unique to you as it is not available on the mass market.

Sustainable shopping

You do not have to compromise on the environment when you purchase a repurposed piece from us. You are helping keep these vintage or unused items within circulation and extending their lifespan. You can also prevent making a larger environmental impact as repurposed jewellery require fewer raw materials to make.

Vintage items likely have already lasted a few decades. This is a sign that the item can last for a long time if properly cared for. Their construction and durability typically exceeds what we find available today in the mass market.

Our chains and findings are high quality and made with love to ensure that these treasures will stay a staple piece in your rotation for seasons to come.

Authentication and transparency

We value your trust in us, hence transparency is our utmost priority. We endeavour to show you the entire journey of your repurposed jewellery.

We only work with trusted vendors that have experience in authenticating and selling authentic designer goods. When we receive the items, we also do our due diligence to ensure that the items we receive are authentic.

What materials do you use?

The type of metal that we use for the chain or findings will be found in the description box.

Unless otherwise stated:

For gold-toned pieces, we use gold-filled chains and findings. We source our gold-filled pieces from the USA, where they are legally required to contain 5% gold alloy by weight. They are scratch resistant and hypoallergenic.

For silver-toned pieces, we use rhodium-plated chains and findings. They are more durable than sterling silver items, while being more scratch- and tarnish- resistant.

Please be aware that the designer components of our pieces are likely only gold-plated or sterling silver.

How do I care for my jewellery?

Allow perfume and lotions to dry before wearing your jewellery

Remove before sleeping and exercising

Avoid moisture and harsh chemicals

Clean with mild soapy water with fingers or a very soft toothbrush, dry with a dry, lint-free cloth

Store in a cool and dry place (like in the jewellery box/pouch provided)

Can you restock this specific item?

Due to the nature of the vintage market, restocks cannot be guaranteed. Please send us an email at astutejewellery@gmail.com if you have an eye on a certain piece and we will keep an eye out and do our best to restock.
